From the Impressionists to Picasso: Masterpieces from the Johannesburg Art Gallery
Conegliano (TV), Palazzo Sarcinelli
11th october 2019 - 2nd february 2020
Sixty paintings from the Johannesburg Art Gallery, located in the homonymous South African city, can now be admired at Palazzo Sarcinelli in Cornegliano (province of Treviso). All dating to the past two centuries, the works range from William Turner to William Kentridge by way of the Pre-Raphaelites and a very extensive exploration of the magic of the Impressionists, documenting the transition to the new century through the works of such artists as Matisse and Picasso and finally approaching contemporary art exemplified by artists such as Moore, Lichtenstein, and Warhol.
